Pacifica Safe After Fire
We at Pacifica are incredibly grateful for the fire fighters who worked tirelessly this afternoon to contain the fire on our property and surrounding area. Our structures are all safe with no damage because of your efforts. We can not thank you enough. You are true heroes.
– The Pacifica Board of Directors
In Memory: Bill Kennedy
Programs like The Caterpillar truly depend on the generously donated time and talents of our volunteers. Everyone at Pacifica Garden and The Caterpillar would like to thank one of our greatest helpers, Bill Kennedy, who passed away last month. Bill was instrumental in making The Caterpillar what it is today. He built tons of circuit boards used in the learning stations, all of the wooden shelves and benches in the new Caterpillar trailer, many bird and bat cages, and countless other projects. We would like to thank Bill for all he did to make science education available to our schools and offer our thoughts and prayers to his family.
Birthdays with the Caterpillar
Did you know that the Caterpillar is available for birthday parties? We will come to your location for a day of science and art activities that your child and his or her friends are sure to enjoy. Check out our new Birthday Party page for more info.
Siskiyou Audubon Society Mentions The Caterpillar
Last month’s issue of The Siskin: Newsletter of Siskiyou Audubon Society, Josephine County, Oregon had a nice little writeup about The Caterpillar’s “Nature in Your Backyard” Summer Day Camp! The article features some great photos of the students building birdhouses with the Audubon Society’s Lee Webb. You can download the newsletter from our Press page.
