Night and Day!
Greetings! The “Caterpillar,” Pacifica’s traveling science trailer, enjoyed bringing Night and Day! to 42 schools & events throughout Josephine, Jackson and Douglas County!
It is now time to schedule your school for this year’s Caterpillar experience, Night and Day! Please contact us soon, as we will fill our calendar fast!
This will be an exciting program with fun hands-on activities exploring astronomy and weather: from moon cycles to nebulae, experiments dealing with air and temperature to weather forecasting! Activities are correlated to State benchmarks and are age appropriate. Students in grades 2nd-5th will have a 75-minute program using journals; students in K & 1st, a 45-minute program.
Also, it is now time to schedule your school to take a field trip to the Caterpillar’s home, Pacifica. We are offering field trips in the month of May to Pacifica, (30 minutes from Grants Pass or 40 minutes from Medford). Last spring we hosted over 400 students and adults at our very engaging, fun, and educational field trips. We customize each field trip for your school. Contact us for price, dates, and details!!!
Remember we only have as many dates available as our funding allows, so contact us soon for scheduling.
To Schedule, contact the Program Facilitator,
Vanessa Martinez.
