Local Flora and Fauna
Pacifica is home to hundreds of species of plants and animals living across four distinct habitats, from riparian to chaparral, oak savanna to cool montane – each supporting different types of ecosystems that are waiting for visitors to explore.
For your enjoyment and the chance to get more familiar with our many non-human neighbors, we offer a number of Flora and Fauna Identification Sheets to use during your visit. All ID Sheets are are free to download and/or print. You can also find selected ID Sheets available to borrow at the Pacifica trail heads – please simply return these to any trail head kiosk, or to the office, when you have finished your hike.
